The Baltimore Bead Society has a lending library of bead-related books, magazines, and DVDs for members to browse and check out. Topics range from the practical (projects, instruction, techniques) to the inspirational (work of well-known bead artists, beadwork designs, bead history, etc.). Seed beading, felting, embroidery, stringing, precious metal clay, polymer clay, chain mail, and metal working, are just some of the categories covered in some of the newest additions to the library. Members are encouraged to suggest new items for purchase.
Library material is organized by accession number. A printed list of holdings by accession number, author, and title is available at the library. To access the collection online, visit https://www.librarycat.org/lib/BaltoBeadSociety Contact Baltobeadsoclibrary@gmail.com for questions on accessing this site or about the library in general.
The library is open during the social time prior to each general meeting. Materials may be checked out for one month with a one-month renewal if requested. A limit of three items may borrowed at one time.
